The History of the Kansas Historical Society

The Kansas Editors and Publishers Association founded the Kansas Historical Society in 1875 to save Kansas history. For 149 years the Society has collected, curated, and interpreted the records and artifacts central to the remarkable history of Kansas. Learn about the 16 historic sites and the redesign of the museum in Topeka. W. A. White was president of the Society 1937-38.
