Earth Day Celebration

Emporia State University’s (ESU) Prophet Aquatic Research and Outreach Center (PAROC) invites the public to celebrate Earth Day! PAROC’s Earth Day event will be held on Saturday, April 22 from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M at the Prophet Aquatic Research and Outreach Center located at 601 E 18th Ave, Emporia, KS. The event will include guided hikes and story walks in both English and Spanish through the Dale Greiner Nature Trail, “Intro to Fishing!” led by the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks (KDWP), KVOE’s “What’s in Outdoors”, Emporia Arts Center nature themed arts and crafts, ESU student plant and bake sale, and the first annual “Vamos a Explorar” event organized by Emporia Spanish Speakers. The PAROC team would like to thank this year’s Earth Day Celebration partners; Emporia Arts Council, Emporia Spanish Speakers, Hispanics of Today and Tomorrow, Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks, Kansas Migrant Education Program, and KVOE.
