The Emporia Farmers Market is open in the parking lot at 7th Avenue and Merchant Street on Saturdays from 8:30 - 10:30 a.m., and Wednesdays from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. through October. From November through April the Market is open from 10:00 am to Noon on the 1st and 3rd Saturday, at 2727 W. Highway 50.

Homecoming Open House for The Children’s War: Images of World War II in Children’s Books

Join ESU Special Collections and Archives at a special Homecoming open house for the exhibit The Children’s War: Images of World War II in Children’s Books. This exhibit showcases artwork from children’s books written in the 1940s and ‘50s and explores how World War II is depicted in these stories, considering topics such as postwar rebuilding in Axis nations and the experiences of European refugees in the United States.
