The History of the Lyon County Historical Society

The county historical society became a “chapter” of the Kansas State Historical Society in 1937 through the efforts of the DAR. W. A. White served as president of KSHS then. With three museum locations, thousands of documents have been archived and artifacts large and small have been conserved from Territorial times to today. The rest is history!
