Kicking off All Veterans Tribute Week
Posted on Oct 31, 2017 by Visit Emporia
Veterans Day is next Saturday, November 11, and Emporia is gearing up for a week of celebration. As the Founding City of Veterans Day, honoring our service men and women is a huge part of our culture. We celebrate with a full week of events which this year includes art exhibits, a Tracy Lawrence concert, pub crawl, veteran banners on display downtown, and of course the Veterans Day Parade.
The Quilts of Valor display is already up at Emporia Public Library with other events kicking off this weekend. Come enjoy the fall weather and celebrate with us as we pay tribute to the heroes who have so bravely served our country.
