Emporia CVB Awards Grant Funds — $9,300 Allocated to Boost Eight Events

EMPORIA, Kansas, February 21, 2019 — Eight entities have been approved to receive $9,300 through the Emporia Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) Tourism Grant Fund for events taking place in Emporia during 2019. During their monthly meeting, the Convention and Visitors Advisory Board reviewed grant applications received prior to the February 1st deadline. First round recipients are:

The CVB Tourism Grant Program was established to enhance and strengthen the positive economic impact of the tourism industry on our community. Priority is given to events/projects geared towards overnight room stays and spring/fall/winter occupancy. Preference is given to events/projects that are distinctive, create a positive energy, push average boundaries and most closely match the mission and goals of the CVB.
